Shinakichi Nomoto served as principal of an elementary school, Seinen Gakko (young men's school) and school commissioner of Gumma Prefecture. Holds additional post of chairman of Nihon Taishoku Komu-in Remmei (Japan League of Retired Public Officials). Elected twice to House of Representatives and later to House of Councilors (1953).
