Shinjiro Yamamura graduated from Sawara Middle School and entered the fertilizer and rice business.
Later Shinjiro Yamamura became director general of the Prefectural Food Corporation and executive official of other food organizations. Also he was elected to the Prefectural Assembly and after the war elected to House of Representatives six times. When the Hatoyama faction of the Liberal Party organized a separate party (1958), joined it. He also assumed the position of President of the Yamamura Industrial Company and of the Sawara Shipbuilding Company.
