Shinno Tsuneyasu became a priest when his father died and entered the Urin-in Temple in 853 where he came to be reverently called Urin-in-no-Miya. As a mark of respect to his late father he donated a paddy field of 430 cho in area to Enryakuji Temple, which Emperor Seiwa exempted from taxation.
Shinno Tsuneyasu was the grandson of Emperor Saga and Tachibana no Kachiko
