Shinns Atsuzane

Background

Shinns Atsuzane was born in 893. Shinns Atsuzane was the son of Emperor Uda.

Career

He lived in the Ismnaji Temple in Kyoto, he was called Ninnaji- no-miya. Also called Rokujo-no-miya. A distinguished wdka poet and musician, he was known as a koto (harp) and biiva (guitar) player.

Connections

His sons, Masanobu, Shigenobu and Sanenobu, were all given by the Court the family name of Mina-moto.
