He employed at the Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Company which name was later changed to the Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Company. Then he promoted managing director of the company. In 1950 when the company was dissolved into three independent companies, he was appointed president of one of the companies, the Central Japan Heavy Industry Company which name was changed to the Shin Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Company in 1952. He was the Director of the Japan Employers Federation.
