While still a student at Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts came into prominence when his works were exhibited at Government Art Exhibitions. Graduated (1931).
Career
Later was judge for the art exhibitions of Japan Academy of Arts (1946). Is founder of Seikatsu Kogei Shudan (Livelihood Industrial Art Organization) and as assistant professor at Tokyo University of Arts. Is also an artist in lacquer ware.
