Shozo Yonehara served as president of Hinomaru Shoji Kaisha (Hinomaru Trading Company), director of Tottori Bank and chairman of Tottori Prefectural League of Forestry Associations and official of a few other industrial companies and associations in Tottori Prefecture. He was member of House of Peers. President of Maruta Department Store and Hinomaru Motorcar Company. Presently holds additional posts of chairman of Tottori Chamber of Commerce & Industry and representative director of Daimaru Company.
