Shukichi Kawakubo graduated from Political Science Department of Tokyo University (1908).
Career
Shukichi Kawakubo served with Patent Bureau, Fisheries Bureau, Mining Bureau and Commercial Affairs Bureau and thereafter became director of Food Bureau (1924), director of Commercial Affairs Bureau and Director-General of Cabinet Resources Bureau. Retired from the government service (1936). He became senior managing director of Nihon Oil Company (1937) and thereafter assumed his present post. Made official tours of Manchuria, Mongolia and North and South America. Holds additional post of counselor of Nihon Kensetsu Hosho (Construction Security) Company.
