He graduated from Keio University in 1918.
Career
Even during his student days wrote dramatic reviews to Mita Bungaku (literary magazine of Keio University). After graduation entered the newspaper Jiji Shimpo. Left them in 1919 and joined the Osaka Maruichi Shimbun in 1924. Later joined the newspaper Tokyo Nichnichi and Bungei Shunju magazine.
