Career
Early Before becoming a professional, Hanghal was trained as a youth at the Tata Football Academy along with the likes of Robin Singh. He then signed for the All India Football Federation developmental side Pailan Arrows to play in the I-League. While with Arrows, Hanghal was loaned out to I-League 2nd Division side DSK Shivajians for the 2013 season.
Bengaluru Football Club
Before the 2013-2014 I-League season began it was confirmed that Hanghal had signed with new direct-entry side Bengaluru Football Club. He then made his debut for the club on 22 September 2013 in the I-League against Mohun Bagan in which he started and played the full match as Bengaluru drew the match 1–1.
NorthEast United
In July 2015 Hanghal was drafted to play for NorthEast United in the 2015 Indian Super League. Hanghal made his debut for the Indian U23 team against United Arab Emirates U23 in a qualifier for the 2014 Asian Games.
Hanghal started against Uzbekistan U23 on 27 March 2015 in a 2016 AFC U-23 qualifier in the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Bangladesh.
