Career
He worked as the Demonstrator of Anatomy, Edinburgh (1899-1900). The Senior District Surgeon and Magistrate (1901-1904) Professor of Surgery, College of Medicine, Tokyo (1905-1907) He Practiced in Harley Street (1908-1912). Medical Adviser to Peking Moukden Railway Administration and Ministry of Communications and Chinese Red Cross Society.
He arrived in China on January 1913. He served as the Acting medical Officer, British Legation Guards and had contributed to medical literature.
Connections
He married. His wife is Marian Elizabeth. e.d. Red. L. Holwell Kirby, first cousin of 12th Baron Cobham. He has two daughters: Sibyl Margaret Holwell and Eila Holwell.
