Career
He is the Chief Executive of Melrose plc, a British investment company specialising in the acquisition and performance improvement of underperforming businesses. Packham qualified as a solicitor in 1986. He was formerly Chief Operating Officer and Secretary of Melrose Plc.
From October 2000 to May 2003, he worked for the equity finance division of The Royal Bank of Scotland.
His earlier career was as a solicitor at Clifford Chance. He joined Wassall plc in 1990 and became Corporate Development Director in 1999.
