The World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland distributed the vaccine for the smallpox eradication program, from 1967-1977. Everybody in the world was vaccinated. Smallpox was eradicated in 1977, first disease eradicated in history, saving approximately, 5,500 lives each day or two million lives each year, in permanence.
