Simone was educated by the Ursulines of Quebec and the Dominican Institute of Ottawa.
Simone is the author of a poetry of personal and spiritual inspiration. She was a member of the Society of French-Canadian Poets. She was a violinist before becoming a diplomat and publisher of the newspaper L'Événement. She has worked at the National Archives of Canada, the Canadian Embassy in Brussels and the Canadian Consulate in Boston.
On April 8, 1958, Simone married J. Fortunat Drouin.
