Vasily Lovchikov primarily served in naval aviation until 1962, from 1967 in foreign intelligence. Later he was a teacher at the Military-Diplomatic Academy. Since 1988 he is the Assistant Director General of one of the defense enterprises in Moscow. He is a member of the Writers' Union of Russia (2000). The first publication of poems was posted in the collection "Love for the Motherland" (Moscow, 1983). He is the author of more than 15 collections of poems. More than 60 lyrical and patriotic songs have been written on the texts of Lovchikov.
