Background
Sofya Pilyavskaya was born on May 4 (17), 1911 in Krasnoyarsk, Yenisei province, Russia. For a long time, Sophia Stanislavovna lived in a house 5/7 on Glinischevsky lane in Moscow. Pilyavskaya S.S. died on January 21, 2000. She was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichye Cemetery (plot No. 2).
Education
In 1931 she graduated from the drama studio of Z. S. Sokolova.
Career
The actress worked at Gorky Moscow Art Theater. During the Great Patriotic War, in October 1941, the Moscow Art Theater was evacuated to Saratov, at first the actors lived in the building of the Saratov Theatre for Young Audiences, only in November 1942 they returned to Moscow. After the division of the theater in 1987, Sofia Pilyavskaya worked at Chekhov Moscow Art Theater until 2000.
