Sogabe Shizuo

Background

Sogabe Shizuo was born in Tokushima Prefecture in 1901.

Education

He graduated from Kyoto University (1927).

Career

He became research assistant (1928) at the Kyoto University, became associate professor at Tohoku University (1931) and full professor (1940). Conferred a doctorate (1947), and was senior professor of the Faculty of Oriental History, Tohoku University.
