Soji Yamamoto graduated from Tokyo Foreign Language School (1912).
Soji Yamamoto worked at the Kubota Iron Works and the Nissan Motorcar Company. Strove for unification of motorcar industry in Manchuria during the war. Following the end of the war, became president of Fuji Motorcar Company (1948) and concurrently became president of the Dai-Nippon Machine Industrial Company (1953).
