Fox studied percussion with James Peterscak at the Crane School of Music, State University of New York at Potsdam. There she received her Bachelor of Music in music education and Master of Music in solo performance - percussion.

She later went on for post graduate studies in solo performance with J.B. Smith and Mark Sunkett at Arizona State University. While at Arizona State University she began working with the Department of Dance as a composer and accompanist for movement works. Later, while collaborating with modern dance choreographers, Fox brought her photographic and film making skills into the studio along with her sound compositions.
Currently she is at the cutting edge of creativity, performance and education in the use of cyber performance production in synthetic worlds such as Second Life and augmented reality in telematic and transmedia performances.
She is currently Transdiciplinary Artist-in-Residence in the School of Journalism at Michigan State University where she is affiliated with the Knight Center for Environmental Journalism and Senior Educational Design Technology Adviser and Lead Artist for the Smithsonian Latino Virtual Museum transmedia project and has represented the United States performing and teaching in various countries through the invitation of the United States Department of States" Performing Arts Initiative Program.
