Career
1929-1938 worked at Chair of Selection and Seed-Growing, Uman’ Agric Institute. From 1938 associate, from 1949 director, Ukraine Fruit Research Institute (now Ukraine Horticultural Research Institute). Bred new varieties of strawberry ("Early Kiev Nr 2,” "Jubilee" and "Little Ukraine”), sweet cherry ("Kiev Nr 2,” "Nr 5,” ”Nr 9”), cherry ("Uman’ Praecox”), apple ("Kiev Ranet”), et cetera
