Stepan Nikitich Begichev graduated from the Page Corps (1795-1802).
After graduating from the Page Corps (1795-1802), Stepan Nikitich served in the army for some time and then in 1803 quit due to illness.
In 1813 joined the ranks of the Active Army Guard Hussar Regiment and was appointed Adjutant in the Kologrivov Army together with brother D. Begichev and A.S. Griboedov, who became their friend. In May 1813 was moved to the Chevalier Guard Regiment.
Stepan Nikitich was a member of the early Decembrist organizations. He was a member of the Military Society (possibly saving the Union) and the Union of Welfare. In 1823 married to A.I. Baryshnikova and soon retired with the rank of colonel.
Stepan Nikitich was buried in village Yekaterininskaya of Epifanskie County of Tula Oblast, Russian Federation.
