He graduated from the Higher literary and art Institute named after V. Brusov (1924).
He studied in absentia at the economic Department of the forest faculty of the Voronezh agricultural Institute. He studied the history and folklore of Ural.
He was subjected to unjustified repression, served a 3-year exile in Bashkiria (since 1924), where he worked as a teacher, then as an economist (since 1925) of the Bashkir Council of national economy, of the trust "Volgokaspiles". His works have been publishing since 1924. Author of many narratives and novels (collected works, Moscow, 1980; volume 1-4).
