Steve Ritchie is the former President and CEO of Papa John’s International, the third-largest pizza delivery company in the world. As CEO, he led the global development and facilitated brand awareness by driving the company’s strategic planning.
Ritchie spent more than 23 years at Papa John’s. He joined the company in 1996 as a customer service representative, and from the moment he joined, he was drawn to the people-first culture of the business and the keen attention to detail shown across the organization.
Over the years, he served in many roles – delivery driver, general manager, area supervisor, vice president and director of operations. In 2006, he became a franchise owner himself. In 2013, he was selected as one of Louisville Business First’s Forty Under Forty. He ascended to President two years later and became CEO in 2018.
Papa John’s has been rated the number one pizza company in America by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), for 17 out of the past 19 years. Currently, there are over 5,200 locations and 120,000 employees worldwide.
Ritchie graduated from Seneca high school and currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and two daughters.
