Steve Shipp began his career in California where he came searching for new opportunities. A professional piano player, he quickly joined the San Francisco jazz community and established himself as a talented musician throughout the 1950s and 1960s.

He also showed himself in journalism working as a news reporter in various news & information companies since 1965. Shipp traveled around the United States by trade, and also visited and lived in several European countries like Spain.

Since 1975, Steve Shipp worked as a freelance writer. He combined writing and musical activity with a great number of different business projects.
