Career

He is currently the Senior Executive Officer of Penang Institute, a public policy think-tank based in Penang, Malaysia. In January 2011, he was appointed as a Councillor of the Seberang Perai Municipal Council, one of the largest municipalities in Malaysia. In 2012, Steven Sim was named as a Young Global Leader of the Geneva-based World Economic Forum.
