He received from the University of Wollongon his B.A. (honors) in 1984. Later, in 1989, he obtained from The Flinders University of South Australia a Ph.D.
He also obtained the Flinders University Postgraduate Scholarship between 1985 and 1989.
Career
Mishra worked for the University of the South Pacific as a lecturer in English from 1989 to 1993. He was also an Australian Research Council Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Flinders University of South Australia in 1993. Besides, he was president of the Fiji Writers’ Association since 1991.
