Sueyuki Wakasugi entered Mitsui Bussan Kaisha (Mitsui & Company) and served at Accounting Section of its head office. Assigned to its Surinam Agency (1929), Osaka Branch (1933) and New York Branch (1935). He became chief of Central and South America Section (1940), chief of General Affairs Section of Osaka Branch (1942), chief of Cotton & Artificial, Silk Section (1943), acting manager of Tientsin Branch, chief of Textiles Section and director of Tangku Cold Storage Plant (1943), managing director of Osaka Branch and director of Nihon Kinu Jinken Itonuno Yushutsu Kumiai (Japan Silk & Artificial Silk Thread & Cloth Exporters' Union), vice-manager in charge of Branch (1947). Held additional post of manager of Takamatsu Branch and Osaka then became manager of Osaka Branch.
