Entered Nikka Kogyo Kaisha (Sino-Japanese Industrial Enterprise Company) (1917) and later served as managing director of Nichiwa Engyo Kaisha (Nichiwa Salt Industry Company), president of Nikka Jinju Hoken Kaisha (Sino Japanese Life Insurance Company) and Toho Mining Company, managing director of Kachu Kenshi Kaisha (Central China Silk Manufacturing Company) and chairman of Tsingtao Chamber of Commerce & Industry and thereafter became president of Takachiho Seishi Kaisha (Takachiho Paper Manufacturing Company) (since 1947).
