Tadachika Okubo was a lord of Odawara Castle. He served Ieyasu Tokugawa from childhood and took part in his campaigns at Anegawa and Mikatagahara. Succeeded his father as Lord of Odawara (1593). He and Masanobu Honda assisted Shogun Hidetada, son of Ieyasu, and commanded high respect of Shogunate retainers. He was exiled to Hikone, due to slander by Masanobu (1614). Later he became a Buddhist priest and assumed the name of Keian Dohaku.
