Tadashi Ono

Background

Tadashi Ono was born in 1872 in Niigata Prefecture. Second son of a retainer of the Takada Clan.

Education

While still a youth, he built a mill in his native place for the purpose of weaving textiles for export.

Achievements

• He introduced improvements in textiles, invented an automatic fire-door, an instrument for measuring the friction resistance of bearing and other gadgets.

Personality

Physical Characteristics: Because of his zeal for research work, he became blind.
