Real personal name: Ta¬ma. Name of her parents Odani. Married Toyojiro Hashimoto (1917), settled at Kokura, Kyushu and commenced composing Haiku around 1921. Later moved to Osaka City (1929) and Veceived instructions in Haiku first from Kyoshi Takahama and then from Seishi Yamaguchi. Became staff member of Tenro, Haiku magazine, founded by Seishi (1948). Lost her husband (1937) by whom she had four daughters. Her works are filled with deep sorrow of woman with undertones of rich emotions and keen senses. Published three collected editions of her works, Umitsubame (Petrel), Shina- no and Beniito (The Red Thread).
Takako married to Toyojiro Hashimoto.
