Around 1381, Takatomo Oda was a retainer of Ujimitsu Ashikaga and distinguished himself in Ujimitsu's campaign against Yoshimasa Koyama. Later, however, he revolted against Ujimitsu, together with Wakainu-maru, son of Yoshimasa. Defeated, he surrendered to Ujimitsu at Mount Nantai (Tochigi Prefecture).
He became a Buddhist priest and called himself Keison.
