Career
She was fond of waka poetry and studied the classics under Kanetane Hirata.
Of a most determined character and possessing great courage she is said to have sheltered many loyalists from the Shogun's men.
Later she herself had to go into hiding in Choshu (Yamaguchi Prefecture).
After the Meiji Restoration she served Tomomi Iwakura.
