From 1938 until death professor and head Chair of Botany, Lenin Teachers’ Training Institute, Moscow. Did research on plant respiration and fermentation, water economics and drought resistance, photosynthesis, growth and development, the influence of trace elements and the history of plant physiology.
Translated works on plant physiology by Hans Molisch, J. Lilian and Clarke into Russian. Edited several biological and agric dictionaries.
