1909-1914 assistant professor, Chair of Botany, Saint St. Petersburg Higher Women's Courses. 1914-1919 lecturer, Tiflis Higher Women's Courses and Transcaucasian University and associate, Tiflis Botanical Garden. 1919-1921 lecturer. Chair of Plant Physiology and Anatomy, Krasnodar Agric Institute.
1921-1925 and 1932-1935 lecturer, Leningrad Institute of Textile Crops, Leningrad Timber Institute, et cetera 1925-1935 researcher, Laboratory of Plant Physiology, All-Union Phytological Research Institute. 1935-1937 professor and head, Chair of Plant Physiology and Microbiology, Saratov Agric Institute.
From 1938 until death professor and head Chair of Botany, Lenin Teachers’ Training Institute, Moscow. Did research on plant respiration and fermentation, water economics and drought resistance, photosynthesis, growth and development, the influence of trace elements and the history of plant physiology.
Translated works on plant physiology by Hans Molisch, J. Lilian and Clarke into Russian. Edited several biological and agric dictionaries.
