Education
In 1921 Takeuchi went to the U.S.A. and graduated from Chicago University in 1931 receiving Ph.D. Then he has stayed at Columbia University for a period of three years (since 1952) as guest professor and contributed toward academic exchange between Japan and the U.S.A.
Career
Takeuchi has served as professor of Kwansei Gakuin University since 1932.
