Tatsushige Kanayama graduated from Philosophy Department of Tokyo University (1919) and then studied at the Post-graduate Department of the same university.
Tatsushige Kanayama served as part-time employee of Education Ministry and professor of Matsuo High School. He studied in Germany and France as overseas research student of Education Ministry (1929-1932). Tatsushige Kanayama became professor of Komazawa University (1932). Assumed additional post of lecturer at Suisan Koshu-jo (Fisheries Institute) and later was appointed to his post.
