He writes poems, short-stories and nonfiction in both Manipuri and English languages. He translates from Manipuri into English and vice versa. He obtained his degree in stream of Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur (formerly known as Rochester Institute of Technology).
