Takahashi Teizo was born in 1897 Hokkaido, Japan.
Graduated from Hokkaidd University (1922) continued his studies at Zurich University, Switzerland (1926).
Takahashi Teizo rejoined his alma mater (Hokkaidd University) as assistant professor and in addition also taught at Gifu Higher Agricultural School. Was dean of Gifu University's Faculty of Agriculture. Was briefly chief of Morinaga Central Research Institute.
Noted also for his research work in finding new sources of food from various kinds of plants. Author of works "Chemical Compounds of Fruit and Vegetables", "Lectures on Biochemistry", "Sugar and Sweets" and "Science of Confectionery". He was awarded a scholarship for research in utilization of cormophyte.
