Member of Parliament (Liberal) Portsmouth 1906-1910. Was a member of the Home Office Departmental Committee, 1910, which reported upon the working of the Coroners Law, and upon anaesthetics. Was a member of a similar committee, 1908, which reported on the subject of the Inebriates Acts.
Has always taken a great interest in matters connected with the protection of children, and is a member of the Central Committee of the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Solicitor.
