Thomas H. Wolf got his journalistic start with the New York Post and Time magazine before World War II. When conflict broke out overseas, he ventured abroad as a war correspondent with the Newspaper Enterprise Association. He covered historic events such as the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. After a stint with the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) radio division, he wrote and edited scripts for newsreels for Pathe News until 1950.
Mr. Wolf founded Information Productions in 1951 and served as its president until 1959. After two years with Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) News as an executive producer, he joined the American Broadcasting Co. (ABC) as a news executive in 1963. While at CBS, he produced the series Tomorrow as well as the Calendar Show. At ABC, he produced the ABC News Report and ABC Scope. He also worked for a time as ABC’s vice president and director of television documentaries and director of cultural affairs. In 1981, he became president of Wolf Communications and began serving as a consultant for the Smithsonian Institution. He rounded out his career as a freelance editor, writer, and producer.
