Military secretary and adjutant general by detail, 1905. Governor Lanao District, Mindanao Province, P.I., 1909. Commanded 5th Brigade, 2d Division, United States of America, Galveston, Texas, 1913-1914, 6th Brigade, Texas City, Texas, and Naco and Douglas, Arizona, February 1, 1914.

Commanding Arizona District and 3d Provisional Infantry Division, Douglas, Arizona, to May 8, 1917, when retired by operation of law.
