Became dentist, 1844. Translator Dante’s Inferno, published with Dore’s illustrations, Boston, 1865. Translator part of Dante’s Purgatorio, published in The Catholic World, 1879-1883.
Best known poems include: On a Bust of Dante, published 1841.
