Peltz Ernestina studied plastic arts at the Fine Arts Institute "Nicolae Grigorescu" in Bucharest (present-day Bucharest National University of Arts).
Peltz's artistic work consisted of paintings, graphics and book illustrations. Prolific artist Tia Peltz has had numerous personal and group exhibitions, both in Romania and abroad. Some of her works are exhibited in museums such as the National Art Museum in Bucharest and the Craiova Art Museum, other works are in private collections. Tia Peltz made a series of portraits of Romanian personalities such as Isac Peltz, Ionel Teodoreanu, Nicolae Tonitza, MH Maxy, Cezar Petrescu, Gala Galaction, Camil Petrescu, Leny Caler. Her works are characterized by laconism and humor. She found her inspiration in the streets of modern Bucharest.
Her works were presented at the following exhibitions: Graphics Yearbook (1953), the International Graphic Exhibition in Berlin (1965), the Romanian Art Exhibition in Cologne (1968). Besides, she published a number of books, such as Thumbnails (De la lume adunate) in 1982, Descender (Descîntece) etc.
