Achievements include systematic investigation of the ultrafast dynamics of hydrogen-bonded molecular systems by time-resolved infrared spectroscopy; first observation of transient spectral holes in the infrared spectrum of a polymer at room temperature; development of novel techniques for study of photochemistry on femtosecond time scale.
