Career
Victories include 1 Grand National (Workman 1939), 2 Irish Grand Nationals (Clare County 1938, Prince Regent 1942) and 1 Cheltenham Gold Cup (Prince Regent 1946). He was also a trainer at Camas Park stables in Tipperary. In 1951 he suffered a fall while showjumping, which left him in a wheelchair permanently.
He died in 1967.
