Timothy Dumas was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, United States. He was raised in Greenwich.
Timothy Dumas worked as a managing editor at Greenwich News, Greenwich.
In 1998 he wrote his work Greentown: Murder and Mystery in Greenwich, America’s Wealthiest Community. A Publishers Weekly reviewer wrote that Dumas “recounts the true story of Martha Moxley’s death and of how wealth and privilege appear to have been able to subvert justice.”
“Dumas lays out the basic facts of the case and presents evidence without taking sides,” wrote James Madison in an Amazon.com review of Greentown: Murder and Mystery in Greenwich, America’s Wealthiest Community. Madison wrote that although Dumas does not offer a wealth of insight into the murder investigation, he “is a keenly gifted writer.” Former crime reporter Robert Fleming, reviewing Greentown in the BookPage Internet site, observed that “it is the author’s crisp, lean writing style that lends the work its power.”
Dumas revised Greentown: Murder and Mystery in Greenwich, America’s Wealthiest Community in a 1999 version of the book called A Wealth of Evil: The True Story of the Murder of Martha Moxley in America’s Richest Town, and Warner Bros. Studios have purchased the film rights to Greentown.
