LaVelle earned dual bachelor degrees in Business, Political Science, and Sociology from Florida State University. He is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and FSU Club Lacrosse.
Todd LaVelle started his career as a trainee with a regional medical products company and since them has been President and CEO of a $500m national medical products firm, VP of Sales and Marketing with a sales force of over 800 and founded several successful healthcare companies that range from patient diagnostic imaging centers, wholesale medical products, physician in-house pharmacy dispensing companies, animal health ventures and general aviation aircraft engine businesses.
Currently Mr. LaVelle is an operator/partner of various companies including First Coast Health Solutions, a national organization offering physicians various patient focused ancillary services including pharmaceutical point-of-care dispensing.
Prior to First Coast Health Solutions LaVelle has served as Founder, President and CEO of InHome Medical Solutions, a wholesale medical products distribution company since October 2017. LaVelle grew organization from a concept to a $10m dollar national wholesale distribution company serving hundreds of Home Health and Hospice healthcare providers. InHome Medical Solutions was sold in 2016.
Prior to founding InHome Medical LaVelle founded Blue Medical Supply. Blue Medical grew to over a $14m dollar regional medical supply company serving physician offices. Blue Medical was sold to PSS World Medical.
Prior to founding Blue Medical Supply LaVelle co-founded PDS Imaging Centers, a multi-location, multi-state clinical imaging provider offering MRI, Cat Scan, Fluoroscopy, Digital Mammography, Nuclear Scanning, mobile and fixed site Ultrasound, and Bone Densitometry. PDS Imaging Centers served thousands of patients from its inception in 2000 to its sale to Atlanta based Northside Hospital in 2013.
Prior to PDS Imaging LaVelle co-founded ProviderLinks/Embion, a business-to-business electronic commerce company. The Company provided procurement automation to non-hospital-based providers. ProviderLinks/Embion connected providers to their pharmaceutical, medical/office supply, and capital equipment suppliers in a provider centric, supplier-neutral environment. The company was sold in 2000.
Prior to ProviderLinks/Embion LaVelle was President and CEO of Gulf South Medical Supply, a $500m national wholesale medical products distributor serving the Nursing Home and Senior Care healthcare provider market. During LaVelle’s tenure at Gulf South LaVelle and his team not only grew the revenues by over $75m but completely overhauled the operational and service model. The team rebuilt over 23 100,000sqft distribution centers from the ground up, implemented an industry first of coast to coast self-delivery and rolled out over 250 26ft Freightliner Semi-18 Wheeler trucks. The team also launched an industry first Hand-Held SaaS perpetual order entry and inventory management platform which secured incumbent customers while adding over 400 new buying accounts.
Prior to Gulf South LaVelle served over ten years at PSS World Medical where he held various positions from sales representative where he grew his sales territory from $100,000 a year to very $2m per year. Within two years of his first role at PSS LaVelle was promoted to Sales Manager of the PSS St. Petersburg branch. In exactly 12 months the St. Pete branch went from #55 in net profit #2 out of 60 locations.
Following one year at the PSS St Pete location LaVelle was promoted to a newly formed corporate position of Director of the Diagnostic Division. LaVelle was charged with training sales reps across the county in various aspects of selling from prospecting to qualifying and how to close various types capital equipment products such as Blood Chemistry Analyzers and CBC Machines.
Next LaVelle was promoted to VP of Central Region where had full P&L responsibility of 8 PSS Locations producing over $65m in annual revenues.
Following the Central Region LaVelle was promoted to the VP of the Pacific region where he managed all Sales and Operations for 12 branches from San Diego to Seattle and west to Denver. During this time LaVelle grew the Pacific Region both by M&A, recruiting and training new sales representatives and initiating several new sales programs which grew the incumbent business by over 22%. Sales of the region exceeded $80m per year.
Following the Pacific region LaVelle was promoted to VP of Sales and Marketing. As the VP of Sales and Marketing LaVelle oversaw $500m in annual revenue, 700 sales reps, all national marketing programs, the companies corporate based university/PSSU and various M&A events.
Next LaVelle took over the full P&L responsibility of the Mid America region, which following PSS’s largest acquisition in their history was the company’s largest region in the company. LaVelle and his team successfully integrating the acquisition into the incumbent Mid America PSS infrastructure while posting double digit sales growth and increased net profit by 200 basis points.
LaVelle earned dual bachelor degrees from Florida State University. He married his college sweetheart, has three children and resides in Atlanta, GA. LaVelle is very active in his community, he currently serves on multiple charitable 503b boards.
