Tokichi Ishimoto graduated from Kokugakuin College (1931).
Career
Tokichi Ishimoto joined Shochiku as a scenarist, then assistant director at Nikkatsu (1933) to become director for Daiichi Eiga the following year. He came into prominence with the production of a cultural film for Geijutsu Eiga-sha (1936). During World War II was president of a film company in Java. Is well known as a producer of cultural films, among winch are "Living Bread," "Life of a Rice PIant", and the "Story of Tuberculosis."
