Career
In the civil war of the Jokyu Era (1221), he captured Kyoto together with his nephew, Yasutoki Hojo. After the war, when Yasutoki was made Shikken (Prime Minister) in the Kamakura Shogunate, he ably assisted him as Rensfio (highest post after Shikken). Was admired for his modestry.
