Tokiji Ishikawa graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Section of Tokyo University (1904). Specialized in metallurgy later and went to England and graduated from Glasgow University.
Career
Tokiji Ishikawa served as director of the Scientific Research Institute and professor of Waseda University. He was appointed director of the Forging Research Institute of the university and advisor to Sumitomo Metal Industrial Company. Tokiji Ishikawa became director of the Engineering Department of the Asahi Steel Works. During the above period, published a research article Regarding High Powered Alloys which was highly appreciated (1918) and the following year received the prize of the Imperial Academy. Published a number of research articles on metal materials and forging metallurgy. Author of "Forging Method” and “Forging Science."
